Create Your Dream Piece of Jewelry

Creating a custom piece of jewelry is very exciting. You have this image in your mind, you wait patiently as all the pieces come together, and you will enjoy it for many years to come. When it comes to designing a one-of-a-kind engagement ring, anniversary ring, gemstone necklace, pair of earrings or any piece of custom jewelry, the only limit is your imagination.

Your inspiration can come from anywhere – an estate piece, a Pinterest photo, a detail from a favorite painting, or a beautiful sunset. Whatever your vision, we’ll help bring it to life.

From the first time you meet with us to discuss your ideas, until the moment you hold the finished piece in your hand, we’re here to listen and guide your custom experience.

What to Expect During the Process

1

The Chat

The first step in the custom-design process is The Chat, an initial consultation to identify your style, share ideas, your lifestyle, how you will wear the piece, and pin down your likes and dislikes. You have a dream, and it starts here.

2

The CAD

CAD is state-of-the-art computer aided design software that lets us bring the structure of your piece to life on our computer, detailing its shape, gemstone position, and texture. Adjustments are simple to make at this stage, so don’t be afraid to speak up.

3

The Mock

Using a state-of-the-art wax building machine, a model is produced to later be used in the casting process in the precious metal of your choice.

4

The Process

The piece is cast in precious metal, expertly filed and sanded to a semi-finished state where it is ready for assembly and the setting of stones. This complex process takes three to six weeks following the chat.

5

The Reveal

After an examination by our designer and jeweler to ensure quality, the moment has come. The unique piece you dreamed of is yours!

Custom Diamond Pieces

Graduated Diamond Ring

Graduated Diamond Ring

Do you have gemstones and diamonds that have sentimental connections? Sometimes it’s hard to image how to use them all in a design you will love forever. This is where Breakiron Jewelers shines. In this ring, an original wedding set and an additional diamond from an anniversary were combined into a cascading, graduated design set in platinum and yellow gold, creating an everyday wearable ring.

Diamond Ring

Solitaire Diamond Ring

When the diamond is the main attraction, the smallest details in a custom-made mounting can make a statement. We created a platinum ring that was reminiscent, for this client, of her mother’s ring. We then added the European style shank (the lower area is squared off) to help eliminate the ring from turning. These personalized features create a visual personality to this one of a kind engagement ring.

Platinum Diamond Ring

Platinum Wedding Set

Looking to create a combination of designs you’ve searched for? This organic style, platinum engagement ring set is a gathering of designs. This client’s physical lifestyle demanded a secure, lower set, center diamond. The flow and femininity were carried over to the fitted matching diamond band that completes the sweeping symphony.

Barber Institute Luncheon 2013 Grand Prize

Barber Institute Luncheon 2013

Thinking of what dreams meant to each of us as children, we used a roller coaster motif. As children we love the thrill of a roller coaster, almost touching the sky when we reach the top and the excitement of what the next hill will bring. Many times in life, particularly with a special needs child, there are peaks and valleys, but each hill we climb and descend CAN be amazing. The small star hidden on one side of the pendant reminds us when a child wishes on a star, we can make their dream come true.

Wild Legacy Piece 2013

Wild Legacy Award 2013

In this Legacy piece, we used the inspiration of the conferences' 2013 theme, a peacock feather. Its beauty is often hidden but always there. The hand carved sterling silver feather also acts as the hidden clasp for the six multi-color pearl strands depicting the rich tones of those dynamic feathers.

Wild Legacy Piece 2014

Wild Legacy Award 2014

The 2014 conference theme was a giraffe. Giraffes are peaceful and elegant yet since they are so tall, they tend to see things happening around them before most of the smaller beings around them. This custom made Legacy piece is a striking mixture of warm gemstones set with argentium silver in a distinct giraffe print design, held with hand tied citrine beads.

Cabachon Necklace on Leather

Cabochon Agates & Leather

These cabochon shape agates certainly compliment each other in their variations of size and colors. The hand crafted, free flowing sterling silver ribbon seems to gently hold the agates while at the same time creating a perfectly placed opening for the organic look of the leather cord. Notice how the brown leather picks up the earthy tones in the three agates.

BEZEL SET DIAMONDS AND COLORED GEMSTONES

Bezel Set Diamonds & Colored Gemstones

What to do when you have several stones but want only one ring? In this case, we took the look of a few different ring ideas and merged them into one contemporary, visually appealing design. White gold bezel setting and centering the major diamond while off-setting the smaller round diamonds onto a flat, wide yellow gold band shows their importance. The two beautiful colored gems sit on a thinner grooved band. Both bands merge at the back creating one ring.

Yellow Topaz and Andalusite Garnet

Yellow Topaz and Andalusite Garnet

The white gold sweeps and curves around the earth tone gems. Whether we know it or not, our eyes tend to like symmetry. In a very clever yet simple design, we have set four gems to look like three. The two smaller garnets mimic the single andalusite on the opposite end, perfectly framing the beautifully cut yellow topaz.
